Former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick released his third solo effort overall last year, BK3, which featured a variety of guests - former KISS band mates Gene Simmons and Eric Singer, Nick Simmons, Steve Lukather, and the late Doug Fieger.

Recently, Mr. Kulick was cool to do a Short-But-Sweet Interview.

UGO:  How heavy is BK3?

BRUCE KULICK:  Heavy is a good word for a few of the songs, but not the entire CD. Very melodic songs are on the CD along with hard rock. Any way, "She's So Heavy" by the Beatles, THAT'S HEAVY!

UGO:  How was it recording again with former band mates Gene Simmons and Eric Singer?

BRUCE KULICK:  Exciting for sure. Working with Gene took me back many years, and I have to say that it felt good working on a song and being creative with him. Eric Singer and I of course have remained very close in my post-KISS years, and it was easy for us to jam that track to great results.

UGO:  Are you still on good terms with your former Kiss band mates?

BRUCE KULICK:  Very much so. We all speak and email, and of course I have the closest relationship with Eric.

UGO:  What other projects do you have on the horizon?

BRUCE KULICK:  Besides working with Grand Funk, I am busy with the Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp, and still do my own gigs when my schedule allows. I just returned from shows with Eric Singer as ESP, and then stayed on with John Corabi for acoustic shows in Italy and Poland. I had an amazing time. That was after solo shows in Chile and Argentina.

UGO:  What did you think of the book I recently interviewed you for, The Eric Carr Story?

BRUCE KULICK:  It was very painful to read, and very informative. Of course being such a part of most of the years of Eric's KISS tenure, made me relive my years in the band with him. Naturally, a must read for any Eric fan.

UGO:  I heard that you're a big Star Wars fan. Would you agree that those last 3 stinky movies bit the big one?

BRUCE KULICK:  Not really. I love science fiction movies and TV, and have to say that although those movies were not as strong, they entertained me.

UGO:  Was Jar Jar Binks the most annoying character in the history of modern cinema?

BRUCE KULICK:  I have to admit that was painful to watch. Meanwhile I have a Jar Jar Binks alarm clock in my garage! Strange huh???
