Which criteria would you use if you were asked to pick the coolest Star Wars character from the two film trilogies? It's a question we've been wrestling with for a while now, mostly to procrastinate having to answer the obvious follow-up question: who is the best Star Wars character? Thankfully, we're not going to have to answer either one. You are. Han Solo
Before he met Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo wasn't much of a hero. A wanted smuggler with a sizable bounty on his head, Solo took the old Jedi and his apprentice on as cargo for nothing more than the lure of cash-money. He aided in Princess Leia's rescue aboard the Death Star for the same reason. But Han proved his heart was in the right place when he shot up Darth Vader's TIE Fighter escort and sent the Sith Lord into an out-of-control spin before he could down Luke's X-Wing Fighter. And then he accidentally killed Boba Fett, one of the galaxy's premiere bounty hunters, when his blind, post-carbon freezing flailings caused the Mandalorian clone's jetpack to malfunction.
