Have you ever imagined just taking your old video camera, going out into your backyard and making the next Hollywood blockbuster?
Well, that's kind of what Gareth Edwards did. While his film is a step up from a home video, it's still very much a do-it-yourself operation. Edwards had a background in visual effects before hiring actors, renting some camera equipment and heading to Mexico to make his character-driven sci-fi flick Monsters - but as this behind-the-scenes video proves, making a movie isn't out of anyone's reach.
Watch how Edwards did it and more in this exclusive video, and check out Monsters when it hits a zillion formats (On-Demand, iTunes, Amazon, Playstation Network, Xbox Marketplace) on Friday September 24, and theaters October 29th.
