Another no-brainer, when it comes to bringing an IP to the silver screen. The Dig was a story written by Orson Scott Card and Steven Spielberg. It was initially meant to be an episode on the TV show, Amazing Stories. What does this mean? It means the script was written with an eye for how it would look on-screen. The result is a script that can hit the big screen with absolutely no tweaks. And since Steven Spielberg was initially involved, maybe he can direct as well. As a game, The Dig was hugely underrated. It is an amazing tale that every self-respecting science fiction fan needs to experiene, and perhaps a movie adaptation will be its second chance at greatness. One thing, though, leave the soundtrack alone. Michael Land's music is sheer brilliance.
