The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Spoilers

It's a good time to be a Twihard.  This week sees the release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the anticipated second installment in the romantic/fantasy series.  If that weren't enough, the movie could very well debut the first trailer for Eclipse, the next film in the quadrilogy.  The producers sure aren't wasting any time with this franchise!

In an effort to keep any R. Patz-induced highs running from now until next summer, we've compiled all the latest news, scoops, plotlines and spoilers on the upcoming Eclipse. It's perfect reading if you're standing in line for the New Moon midnight show (or at home wishing you were).

Confirmed:

• The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be released on June 30, 2010. (Variety)
  

• Melissa Rosenberg has returned to write the script.

• David Slade (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night) has been hired to direct. (ComingSoon)
  

• Filming commenced on August 17, 2009 and ended October 29. (AceShowbiz)
  

• Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are all back as they're love triangle plays a central role in the film.
  

• Director David Slade posted the first look of Xavier Samuel (below), who plays Riley in the new movie. (MTV)

• Bryce Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3, Terminator: Salvation) replaces Rachelle Lefevere as Victoria, the vampire who rallys an army to fight the Cullens in the sequel. (Actress Archives)
  

• Jodelle Ferland, the creepy daughter from Silent Hill, will join the cast as Bree, a new recruit in Victoria's vampire army. (Variety)
  

• Jack Huston (ABC's Witches of Eastwick) will play Royce King II (ComingSoon)
  

• Kristen Prout (Elektra) has been cast as Lucy, a southern vampire. (E! Online)
  

• Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace) is signed to play Maria, the character who turned Jasper into a vampire during his time in the Confederate army. (Latino Review)

• Pictures of Kristen Stewart with robes and cap confirm that the film will feature Bella graduating from high school. (Just Jared Jr.) 

Rumored:

• Eclipse will take the series into darker territory and will work as a stand alone movie. (Sci Fi Wire)
  

• A poster was released at the American Film Market that could be the official teaser poster. (Bloody-Disgusting)
  

• The movie will feature an effects-laden battle scene. (Sci Fi Wire)
  

• Robert Pattinson may sing in the movie/on the soundtrack of Eclipse. (LimeLife)
  

• The big bed proposal scene is definitely in Rosenberg's script, but if it makes the final cut is uncertain. (Eclipse Movie)
  

• The first trailer could debut in front of New Moon on November 20^th. (Trailer Addict) 

Debunked:

• Channing Tatum will not be making an appearance in Eclipse (E! Online) 

• The Orphanage director Juan Antonio Bayona and Drew Barrymore were two original choices to direct. (Dread Central & MTV)
  

• Vanessa Hudgens was up for the role Leah Clearwater. (MTV)
