It's a good time to be a Twihard. This week sees the release of The
Twilight Saga: New Moon, the anticipated second installment in the
romantic/fantasy series. If that
weren't enough, the movie could very well debut the first trailer for Eclipse, the
next film in the quadrilogy. The producers sure aren't wasting any time with this franchise!
In an effort to keep any R. Patz-induced highs running from now until
next summer, we've compiled all the latest news, scoops, plotlines and spoilers on the
upcoming Eclipse. It's perfect reading if you're standing in line for the New Moon midnight show (or at home wishing you were).

Confirmed:
- The
Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be released on June 30, 2010. (Variety)
- Melissa
Rosenberg has returned to write the script.
- Filming
commenced on August 17, 2009 and ended October 29. (AceShowbiz)
- Director
David Slade posted the first look of Xavier Samuel (below), who plays Riley in the
new movie. (MTV)

- Jack
Huston (ABC's Witches of Eastwick) will play Royce King II

- Eclipse will take the series into darker territory and will work as a stand alone

- Robert
