We understand you movie folk are excited about your product, but sometimes you've got to keep your secrets close to your chest. To give you examples of what not to do, here are 11 trailers that spoiled their movies.

| 11 | The Sixth Sense |
No, we're not referring to THE big twist at the end of the flick (and we won't spoil it for the all both of you out there who still don't know Bruce Willis is dead the whole time...oops), but the fact that we find out in the trailer that little Cole (Haley Joel Osment) can see the dead. In the movie, you don't really find that out until about halfway through, and the audience is left to assume he's just a little kid with a lot of mental problems. Had that not been spoiled by the trailer, maybe we'd be talking about a whole different twist when referring to M. Night Shyamalan's only good movie.

While there are some people out there who'd go to a movie based solely on a trailer that shows Gwyneth Paltrow dying a horrible death by a rare, uncurable disease - and shame on you for that, she's a national *stifled laughter* treasure - it's a glaring spoiler, especially when they show the entire sequence of a doctor informing Matt Damon that his wife is dead. And just to make sure the audience heard him, the doctor tells him twice! Come on doc, at least break the fourth wall and let the audience know what's coming!

It's hard to say a trailer for a movie based on a book that (for whatever reason) sold a bajillion copies contains spoilers, but the trailers for the Twilight movies have been notorious for ruining major plot points, and none come more spoiler-laden than the trailer for New Moon, which basically shows the entire movie in three minutes...not that we know what actually happens in New Moon or anything...*ahem*...moving on...

While any comic fan worth their longboxes already know the origin of Wolverine and the Weapon X project to the point that they could call out the minor differences between the comics and X-Men Origins, what really irked fans in terms of the trailer ruining the movie was the big reveal of Weapon XI (a.k.a. Deadpool) which would've been WAY cooler to see happen in the movie than on a small screen. And if fans couldn't put two and two together with the trailer, the X-Men Origins: Wolverine toy line made sure fans knew the Merc with a Mouth was going to be making a "surprise" appearance.

The first trailer for Toy Story 3 made it seem as though Woody and the gang were merely facing an adventure of escaping from a day care in the hopes of reuniting with college-bound Andy with a li'l help from Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear and his pals. But then the second trailer hit and revealed that Lots-O' was playing the role of prison warden, which was a twist revealed halfway through the movie. At the very least we should be grateful that Disney/Pixar didn't spoil their now trademark ridiculously sad first five minutes of the movie, which they seem cram in every film they produce these days.
