Top 50 Famous Cars

From film, television, video games, music and comics, these are the cars you love.

There are a lot of cool cars out there. But even focusing just on the world of fiction, there are enough in the history of film, television, video games, music and comics that we could dedicate a month-long feature to them and still only crack the surface. Hell, we could dedicate an entire week's worth of content to every car that appeared in Transformers. Unfortunately, we cannot indulge in such things, but we've parked 50 rides in the garage that you've got to take for a spin. They're fast. They're furious. Just leave the keys in the ignition when you're done.

Dr. Dre, "Let Me Ride"

Dr. Dre,

For as long as there've been cars on the road, there've been songs sung about them. Hip Hop is certainly no exception. Since the beginning, the "Whip" (car) has played an important part in song, and one of the most revered whips in West Coast Hip Hop is the "Six-Fo," a 1964 Chevrolet Impala. Dr. Dre raps about this coveted vehicle on The Chronic's "Let Me Ride," in which he's "Creepin' down the back street on Deez (20-inch rims)." Often equipped with hydraulics, the "Six-Fo" is an agile performer of show-off stunts (those of you who played Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas certainly know what we're talking about), such as the "pancake," in which the car squats rapidly, and the self-described "front-and-back" and "side-to-side" (also rapped about on Dre's "Let Me Ride"). There are few "whips" that can crawl like a "Six-Fo."
