If there's anything I like more than seeing a lot of "That Guy!"s in a movie - it's seeing British That Guy!s. And it looks like The Damned United has the highest percentage of British That Guy!s to come along since last Boxing Day. (Sheen! Broaddbent! Spall! Chief O'Brien!)
I don't claim to know a lot about soccer - other than it is impossible to watch without Spanish-speaking commentators shouting "GOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL!" - but I can say that The Damned United looks like one hell of a picture.
The Damned United opens in New York and Los Angeles this weekend and then is rolling out to additional cities. You can check out the official site to find out when it comes to a theater near you.
