Grindhouse

Several of the fake trailers that screened with Grindhouse have made the jump to full-length movies... will we be lucky enough to see Eli Roth's Thanksgiving join that illustrious group? Rumors have been circulating that a script is in progress, and we might see it in 2013. Until then, here's the trailer, where a masked killer in full Pilgrim drag hits the town of Plymouth, Mass to carve up some meat. Full of hilariously over-the-top 70s gore, this is going to be one hell of a movie.

Scent Of A Woman

Scent Of A Woman is one of Al Pacino's most scenery-chewing roles, as he uses his status as a blind man to push every button that civilized society has to offer. As Frank Slade, Pacino delivers all of his lines with gusto. One of the most painful parts of the movie comes when his weekend caretaker takes him home for Thanksgiving dinner. Slade opens up on the entire family and their problems in a cringeworthy scene that is hilarious and awkward all at once.

Dexter

I have to say that Trinity was my favorite Dexter antagonist. Played to the creepy hilt by John Lithgow, he actually presented a real threat to everybody's favorite vigilante serial killer, and the show has kind of gone downhill since Season 4 ended. Some of the best Trinity moments came during his interactions with his family. In this clip, Dexter Morgan (under the alias of Kyle Butler) has been invited over for Thanksgiving dinner, and we see just how easily the facade of humanity can collapse.

The Ice Storm

Saying Grace is a Thanksgiving tradition that can often open up a can of worms. In Ang Lee's classic The Ice Storm, a small family Thanksgiving starts off rough when Christina Ricci's character is asked to give a little speech and she just goes all-out, dismantling all of the comforts that American civilization surrounds itself with at the expense of the indigenous people that we murdered and displaced.

Scary Movie 2

Sure, the Scary Movie series and assorted knock-offs have become a pernicious plague on humanity, but they used to be pretty funny. Case in point, the hilarious Thanksgiving scene from the second movie, which is elevated by a truly disquieting performance by comedy genius Chris Elliott as a creepy-ass caretaker with a deformed hand. You'll never feel the same way about turkey again after you take this clip in.
