Max Dembo

A commonality among just about every bank robber is the desire to do one last job, a score so big that they can get out of the crime game forever. For Max Denbo, protagonist of 70s classic Straight Time, that last job is his undoing. Dembo, fresh off of a six year prison stint, can't re-acclimate to normal society and spirals down a path of petty crime until he goes right back to bank robberies. As played by Dustin Hoffman, it's one of the best portrayals of a lifetime bank robber the screen's ever seen.

Jack Foley

Bank robbers are often pretty charming dudes. It's not the kind of crime you can really do alone, so you need to have the ability to persuade a gang to work with you. In Out Of Sight, George Clooney plays one of the most amenable crooks of all time in the form of Jack Foley. When we first meet him, he's escaping from prison in the trunk of a U.S. Marshal's care. From there, it's just good times and good crimes all the time until he's taken back into custody. What a solid dude.
