The Amazing Spider-Man: Lizard Facts

Dr. Curt Connors first appeared in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man #6 back in 1963. Since then, the character has made leaps and bounds in development. Prepare to become a certified Lizard expert before seeing his big screen debut with The Amazing Spider-Man: Lizard Facts!

Now that you've been teased with quick shots of the Lizard in the latest Amazing Spider-Man trailer, it's time to become a comic book guru on the Spider-Man rogue.

Spider-Man has a large rogues gallery that's packed with unique and powerful characters, but the Lizard is one of his earliest and most dangerous enemies. This shall serve as your go-to source for everything you need to know about the classic villain and you'll be able to walk into the upcoming Spidey reboot with enough knowledge to point out changes and references on the big screen.

Right off the bat, the trailer (check out The Amazing Spider-Man Preview Info to watch) reveals that, just like his comic counter-part, Curt has a passion to re-grow his arm with an experimental serum and, just like in the comics, it turns him into the Lizard. The trailer also possibly reveals that Curt Connors could be trying to create an army of lizards when he says, "there's a rumor of a new species in New York. It can be aggressive if threatened." Could this possible army be inspired by Stan Lee's version of the Lizard that was focused on world domination? I guess we'll find out when Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters July 3rd, 2012.

In the meantime, expand your knowledge with The Amazing Spider-Man: Lizard Facts!

Where Is He Now?

Lizard escaped into the sewers of New York after the events of "Shed," and reappears in the pages of X-Men. The mutant heroes team up with Spider-Man to investigate kidnappings in the city. The investigation brings them into the sewer where they discover that the man behind the crime is none other than the Lizard. The Spider-Man enemy is abducting people and turning them into reptiles.

It's revealed Lizard is working with Dark Beast and he wanted to further enhance the Lizard's mental powers. As usual, Lizard manages to escape captivity by fleeing further into the Big Apple's sewer system. We can likely expect to see him appear more in the 616 Marvel Universe as The Amazing Spider-Man approaches.
