It's been thirty years since Sam Raimi's horror flick The Evil Dead first hit theaters and even with a complete lack of budget, Hollywood-grade special effects and A-list talent, the movie has stood the test of time (and turned Bruce Campbell into the geek king he is today).
Finally, fans will watch The Chin and his gal pals run from evil spirits in full high definition, when The Evil Dead debuts on glorious Blu-ray. Dismembering people with chainsaws never looked so good.
We've got an exclusive clip from the new transfer, featuring commentary by Raimi and Campbell on how they recruited their high school friends to join in on the horrific fun of no-budget filmmaking. Apparently a group of college kids filming 16mm movies in the woods comes across as "snuff filmmaking" to many. Go figure.
Check out the clip below and click the image to see the Blu-ray's new cover design!
