With Easter hams working their way through our digestive tracks, let's take a moment and think about this May's upcoming movie Priest.
We know it's about post-apocalyptic clergymen fighting vampire beasts. We know it's based on a Korean manga, it stars the always cool Paul Bettany, the very hot Maggie Q and Karl "Bones McCoy" Urban. And you may also know that I saw footage at this year's WonderCon and lost my mind.
Well, I can't share the Genndy Tartakovsky opening animated sequence, nor can I show you the absolutely dazzling sizzle reel set to (no joke) "Personal Jesus." But I can show you this sequence that reveals what the vampires look like (somewhat Resident Evil "Licker," no?) and just how badass a prayer book and some religious trinkets can be.
Yeah, this movie may offend your Grandmother, but I think it kicks ass.
