Men in Black 3 is heading our way May 2012, but the casting news and rumors have already begun. Luckily, for fans of HBO's hilarious Flight of the Conchords, we've got a confirmation that is more exciting than Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones combined. After all, they aren't part of "New Zealand's fourth most popular folk duo."
Deadline has reported that actor/musician Jemaine Clement will be playing the part of Yaz, the new villain in the upcoming Men in Black sequel directed by Barry Soddenfeld. Frankly, I would have perfered seeing him cast as the Hiphopopotamus - whose "lyrics are bottomless" - but hopefully his music talents will be utilized in the film on some level.
We are used to Jemaine Clement playing a clueless, yet lovable version of himself on the HBO series, so it will be interesting to see him show his darker side on the big screen. Then again, we should have seen his thirst for world domination coming based off the performance below:
