Erin Brokovich is that rare girl film that's not about love or friendship or anything like that. Instead, it focuses on a woman who is badass in ways only women can be badass. Erin Brokovich has kids to feed, bills to pay, and sexual harassment to put up with, but she's not letting any of that get in the way of pursuing legal justice in a system too lazy to do the right thing.

It's a great movie made by a great director with a great cast. Like Notting Hill, it utilizes Julia Roberts' slightly cold screen presence to good effect. And it tells a good story in the process. Also: cleavage.
