What do you do when you have a few moments of access to a world class film director?  You take him to a slightly scuzzy video arcade in a questionable part of town!

Were I speaking of anyone other than Edgar Wright it might be a problem, but bringing the man behind the hyperactive Scott Pilgrim vs. The World to a dark corridor of deafening sirens and blinking lights is like an aesthetic homecoming.

Watch and we discuss arcade gaming (love the way he pronounces Q*bert), how games informed the style of his film and his own personal Knives Chau.  And be sure to buy the Blu-ray of SPvTW, which is out now!

For more Scott Pilgrim fun, check out every video game reference in the comics, our tribute to Ramona Flowers, our in-depth talk with Bryan Lee O'Malley and a chat with Jason Schwartzman.
