It has arrived. Day 3 of San Diego Comic-Con -- the day every comic fan worth thier longboxes has been waiting for. That's right, today's that day that -- Odin-willing -- we'll finally get our first looks at Green Lantern, Thor, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Captain America: The First Avenger.

Yet while Hall H will surely be the place to be on Saturday, there's certainly more than enough movie-related awesomeness to fill up a day judging from SDCC's Saturday programming schedule. If you managed to blow through your Comic-Con budget on Day 1 (rookie move, but we've all been there), here's some panels where you can kick back and nerd it up properly.

  • Writing Animated Feature Films: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Room 8: In case you've ever concerned yourself with the query, "Hey, what's it like to write an animated feature film?" then friend, this is the panel for you! Featuring Alan Burnett (Green Lantern: First Flight), Darren Lemke (Shrek Forever After), Dean DeBlois (How to Train your Dragon) and more.
  • Twilight Fanfiction Author Fangroup: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Santa Rosa Room, Marriott Hotel and Marina: Discover the next Stephenie Meyer at this collection of anonymous, online writers as they...pffffft, HAHAHA! Just kidding, no need to visit this one. Go Team Edward!
  • Warner Bros. Green Lantern, Sucker Punch, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM, Hall H: This is it -- at last, a sneak preview of Sucker Punch! Dreamy Jon Hamm will be on hand along with the film's cast! You won't want to miss this one...oh, yeah, and we'll probably get a first look at Green Lantern and the new Harry Potter film too, but really, will anyone care? (damn you, internet, for not being able to convey sarcasm!)
  • Indyfans: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, Santa Rosa Room, Marriott Hotel and Marina: Once again, the Indiana Jones fan group swings into Comic-Con armed with giveaways, special guests and, hopefully, two year's worth of criticism directed at Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
  • Overture Let Me In: 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM, Hall H: Will the Americanized version of the underground Swedish horror hit be as good as its inspiration? Probably not, but judge for yourself at this panel featuring an exclusive preview of the film and discussion with the cast and crew.
  • DC Showcase Original Shorts Collection Jonah Hex, Green Arrow and Beyond!: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Room 7AB: Legendary Warner Bros. animator Bruce Timm leads an all-star panel of cartoonists giving attendees a glimpse of upcoming Warner Premiere animated features including Jonah Hex, Green Arrow and Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam.
  • Universal Paul and Cowboys & Aliens: 4:45 PM - 5:45 PM, Hall H: The cast of Paul -- Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Jeffrey Tambor, Seth Rogen, Sigourney Weaver and director Greg Mottola (Superbad) -- give audiences a first glimpse at the upcoming sci-fi comedy, while Cowboys & Aliens director Jon Favreau takes questions from the audience about his latest foray into comic inspired films.
  • Marvel Studios Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Hall H: Scroll too fast and you probably missed the listing for Marvel Studios' upcoming panel spotlighting the insanely anticipated Thor and Captain America feature films. Other than producer Kevin Feige, no other talent is listed or info given, which definitely adds to the excitement (and fuel to the crazy rumors fire) of what fans can expect from this sure-to-be-jam-packed panel. Get there super-early or risk being shut out, folks.
  • Kevin Smith: 7:15 PM - 8:45 PM, Hall H and Kevin Smith Presents Cop Out in "Maximum Comedy Mode": 10:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Indigo Ballroom, San Diego Hilton Bayfront: What better way to end a crazy Friday then sharing a few chuckles with fanboy-turned-Hollywood power player, Kevin Smith? Start off with a discussion with the New Jersey native, and then follow him and the crowd for a special screening of his latest film, Cop Out, and discover what the hell "Maximum Comedy Mode" means.
