Best Twilight Parodies

Naturally, Saturday Night Live got in on the Twilight-spoofing bandwagon with a hilarious digital short, Firelight. Replacing the sexy vampires with loutish Frankenstein monsters is a genius touch, and the whole thing is played so straight that it's amazing. Once you throw mummies into the equation, things just get even more ridiculous. SNL can be hit and miss, but this was a very memorable evisceration of the whole Twilight phenomenon without actually taking aim at the fanbase.

The Cullen family's awful pale—maybe they just need to eat a little more red meat? That's the premise of the hilarious Twilight With Cheeseburgers, which replaces Bella Swan with a delicious, juicy cheeseburger. Many of the first movie's most memorable scenes are replicated with two all beef-patties standing in for Kristen Stewart. It's tough to make a decision as to who the better actor is, but that burger sure looks delicious.

This exceptionally clever mash-up melds Twilight with Michael Jackson's seminal Thriller video to create a much better movie. Edward Cullen's wirework fighting moves have been recontextualized into dance moves, and that pale bastard sure can cut a rug. I think that Michael Jackson probably would have been into Twilight—really pale people who don't have sex with women seems to have been his ideal end goal all along. Was that too soon?

The only thing more idiotic than Twilight is reality show hellhole Jersey Shore, so combining the two is a stroke of moronic genius. Jimmy Kimmel was the man who did the deed, recruiting Snooki to play Bella Swan, the Situation as Edward Cullen and the rest of the guido crew as the other cast members. It's patently ridiculous and illustrates that Robert Pattinson's hair is even stupider than DJ Pauly D's. And that's quite an accomplishment.
