With Mark Wahlberg taking one last job in Contraband, out this week, our minds turned to thoughts of other awesome smugglers. Smuggling is, in essence, a victimless crime: you're just moving some material from one place to another. Sure, there's laws in the way, but who cares about laws? You know that we can never resist the opportunity to give props to Southland Tales, Richard Kelly's bizarre over-the-top apocalyptic parable. So it helps that the movie has a very charming smuggler character in the form of Private Pilot Abilene, as played by Justin Timberlake. The narrator of the film, Pilot also has a lucrative side business sneaking Liquid Karma out from the facility at Utopia Three. Of course, this isn't something that should be out in the square world, but what can you do? Smuggling isn't pretty.
