| 50 | 3:10 to Yuma - Charlie Prince |
Stepping up to fill Ben Wade's shoes is tough business, but that's the task the psycho cowboy Charlie Prince was left with when his bank robbing leader was wrangled by the po-lice.
The "psycho" part comes in handy - Prince is certainly not the type who will wait to shoot you if you're between him and a Russell Crowe mentorship.
| 49 | The Spy Who Loved Me/Moonraker - Jaws |
Jaws is the swing #2 of the Bond world. In The Spy Who Loved Me, he plays second fiddle for Karl Stromberg. In Moonraker, it's evil-doer Hugo Drax.
In both movies, he just wants to bite your jugular vein. Some things never change.
| 48 | Charlie's Angels - Thin Man |
The Thin Man's one tragic flaw: he's obsessed with Drew Barrymore's hair, to the point where he'll purposefully skip a prime attack to rip out a few beautifully-scented strands. Creep.
Sam Rockwell's Knox probably didn't realize this when he brought on Thin Man to assist him in his nefarious plan to murder Charlie. What happened to a good ol' background check?
| 47 | The Hunt for Red October - Vasili Borodin |
The confined quarters of a Russian nuclear submarine is not the place you want to end up in the middle of a conspiracy.
Poor Vasili Borodin - as Captain 2nd Rank of the Red October, he was knee deep in poltiical sh*t from the get go, and ended up dead in the crossfire of the sub's saboteur. The man just likes to sail boats, черт побери!
| 46 | The Departed - Mr. French |
You think just because Jack Nicholson's Frank Costello throws handfuls of coke up a prostitutes ass, that makes him crazy? That's the simple stuff. He has Mr. French do the dirty work.
Case in point: when Mr. French is first introduced to Billy, he doesn't shake the young lad's hand. He smashs it against a pool table. But he is courteous - at least he removed the cast Billy's hand was in before smashing.
| 45 | Galaxy Quest - Sir Alexander Dane |
No great captain is without his number two, and no great leading man is without his supporting character actor. Shakesperean actor Sir Alexander Dane spent years performing the role of Dr. Lazarus of Tev'Meck on Galaxy Quest, only to resume is position under Jason Nesmith when they become actual galactic do-gooders.
When he's not touching up his make-up or exclaiming his signature catchphrase ("By Grabthar's hammer, by the suns of Warvan, you shall be avenged!"), he's actually quite helpful. In a British way.
| 44 | Flash Gordon - Klytus |
Is Klytus a man? A machine? Eh, it doesn't matter. The dude's obedient to his master Ming, even if it is just because he has a hard-on for the Merciless One's daughter.
He gets all his pent up anger out of his system by whipping his foes. You like that, don't ya! Robots appear to daydream about more than electric sheep.
| 43 | The Expendables - Lee Christmas |
Don't confuse The Expendables' Lee Christmas with the 19th century American-born, Honduran mercenary who was known for intimidating his opponents by chewing on glass. That Lee Christmas was much less Jason Statham than the movie version.
The right-hand man to Sly Stallone's Barney Ross, Christmas is rough, tough and bald. It keeps air resistance down when they're taking off in their bullethole-filled sea plane.
| 42 | Fast & Furious - Brian O'Conner |
He's good. He's bad. He's good. He's bad. He's...inbetween.
Brian O'Conner and Dominic Toretto's relationship has crossed through many a shades of grey, but whether O'Conner is acting as a rogue agent or under the FBI, he'll always be Toretto's Second-in-Command. He kind of has to be - once you shtup Toretto's sister, you're indebted for life.
| 41 | Enter the Dragon - Bollo |
It's always a blow to the ego when your bloodthirsty second-in-command comes up short in a big confrontation.
That's what happens to Han's man in the ring Bollo, a man previously seen tearing seven wimpy guards a new one, when he hops into the ring with John Saxon's Roper. Gah, the least he could do was survive until his fight with Bruce Lee!
