| 25 | Welcome to Earth, Kara Zor-El |
Superman's cousin has had many incarnations over the years, but at the core, she's always the same: an energetic, positive spirit with a penchant for ass kicking. She's one of the few female heroine who always has a smile on her face, and the cosplayers who don her likeness make a three-day Comic-Con weekend that much more enjoyable.

Supergirl stands for all the same factions of goodness as her cousin Kal-El: truth, justice and the American way. She's also a strong proponent of the lady's cape, making it once again an acceptable fashion accessory. Fine by us (but we're not sure how Edna Mode is going to feel about this).
| 23 | A Gust of Wind |
Throughout comic history, Supergirl's costume has evolved to fit with the times, but one element remains the same: the miniskirt. Girls of future cosplay lucked out with the design, as convention centers tend to overheat and Kara Zor-El's skirt keeps the air flowing.
How it stays down while in flight is one of the greatest Kryptonian mysteries.
| 22 | A Strong, Independent Superheroine |
Supergirl's sported the beehive in the '50s, tousled curls in the '60s, a Farrah Fawcett look in the '80s and a sexy blonde do with bare midriff to match for most of her modern lifes, but this lady decided to showcase a new kind of Supergirl. Somewhere between Brooklyn hipster Kara Zor-El and down-to-earth soccer mom Kara Zor-El.
She'll have no problem saving the world, just make sure you have a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc ready for her when she gets back.
| 21 | Every (Super) Girl Has a Dark Seid |
Even a nice girl like Kara has an evil version lurking behind her prim exterior. When Lex Luthor exposes Supergirl to Black Kryptonite, the hero splits in two: the normal looking "nice" half and the brooding, diabolical half complete with inversed, black and white color scheme. She's smiling, but it's an evil smile.
