Resident Evil 6 has finally made its explosive debut, and we're liking what we see! Resident Evil heartthrob Leon S. Kennedy is back and he's bringing with him some old school zombie action. More importantly, for the first time ever, it looks like his partner in zombie-killing crime is Chris Redfield! Between this, seeing the President turn into a zombie and some mysterious new stranger talking about his blood, it's hard not to get excited! Zombie President

In the early trailer voiceover The President says he's “going to tell them everything” insinuating that he's about the blow the lid off a whole lot of secrets. It looks like that doesn't exactly go according to plan, because before we know it, Leon has to kill the President because of infection. Will this be the central mystery of Leon's part of the game? Who are "they" and what secrets do they want stopped?

Raccoon City All Over Again

The visuals of an American city in chaos struck a chord with me because it evoked Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 pretty hard. The trailer is blunt about this, calling the domestic incident in Tall Oaks “Raccoon City All Over Again” and mentioning that 70,000 people have been infected. That's a big mess for Leon to clean up.

It's All Public

The series has referenced the public's awareness of infection outbreaks and bioterrorism fairly often, but we typically haven't seen regular citizens fleeing an infection. At one point in the trailer Chris Redfield pushes a cameraman out of the way, meaning that everyone knows what's going on.

Diverse Combat and Cover

Multiple times during the Resident Evil 6 trailer we see Leon and Chris sliding into cover and popping in and out of cover to take shots at infected humans and creatures. Also, at one point, Leon slides on the ground and takes enemies down while lying on his back. Are we finally getting a less-restrictive combat system that's more akin to modern action/adventure titles?

New Mystery Man

Are we getting a new main character in the series? It's been a rotating cast of characters in Resident Evil franchise for the last few games. Sometimes it's a Leon game, sometimes a Chris game... but who is this new third playable character? We get some glimpses of the new guy taking down the infected with some serious melee attacks... so we know he's no slouch.

There are a few choice quotes that he drops during the trailer that give us a better idea of who he is and what he's after. It seems like he’s a mercenary, asking for $200,000 up front to deal with the bio-terror outbreak and an additional $200,000 after it's all said and done... BOWs are an extra charge. Wait, multiple BOWs?
