A
t United, we’re dedicated tomaking
our customers’ travel experience as
comfortable as possible, andwe’re
constantly evaluating howwe can
enhance our onboardofferings. This
commitment ledus to reimagine the
United First seat.
Over a two-year period, weworked
with London-baseddesignfirm
PriestmanGoode, an expert in custom
design innovations for the transporta-
tion andhospitalityfields, to ensure
that the newUnited First seatwouldbe
ultra-comfortable andflyer-friendly.
As part of the designprocess, we
invited customers toour headquarters
building inChicago to test out several
seat options, andwe asked them to let
us know their thoughts and tell us about
any additional features they’dwant in
an ideal airline seat.We incorporated
their feedback into the design, and the
end result—with itsmodernfinishes
andpremiummaterials—delivers a truly
superior travel experience.
The fundamental elements of our new
UnitedFirst seat are focusedonprovid-
ing anew level of comfort. The seat itself
features beautifully contoured two-tone
leather, a six-way adjustableheadrest
and anicelypadded articulating seat
cushion that cradles you as you recline.
We’ve added to that foundationwith
convenient storage spaces for your
personal items, including an in-arm
tablet/laptop storage slot, awater bottle
compartment anddouble seatback
pockets. A granite-topped extendable
cocktail table in the center console adds
an extra bit of class and convenience.
The seat also incorporates a new
patented tray table, featuring aflip-up
mobile device holder that fitsmore than
200phone and tabletmodels. This lets
customers continue enjoying our United

737-700 and757-300 aircraft, with
morefleets to come.We hope our
customers enjoy the new seat and can
feel the attention todetail thatwent into
