ML Nandhika Varavarn, Vice President – Corporate Communications,
recently led a select group of journalists from the Thai luxury and travel
media on a trip to the award-winning Soneva Fushi Maldives. Famous for
its “no news, no shoes” concept, Soneva Fushi is an exclusive resort located
in the spectacular Baa Atoll UNESCOWorld Biosphere Reserve. The group
explored neighbouring islands and enjoyed a lunchtime picnic on a private
island among other activities arranged by the resort. The aim of the trip was
to promote the destination to both Thais and expatriates living in Thailand.
Bangkok Airways operates the only direct service between Bangkok and
the Maldives. It offers 5 flights per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday and Sunday). PG711 departs Bangkok at 09.30hrs and arrives in the
Maldives at 11.45hrs. The return flight (PG712) departs the Maldives at
12.40hrs and arrives in Bangkok at 19.05hrs. The Airbus A319 used for the
flights has 12 Blue Ribbon Class seats and 108 Economy Class seats.
