An automated material handling system can have issues with poor pallet quality. While it can help reduce poor pallet quality issues, locating rollers closer together may not be the best option. However, tighter centers on rollers will limit space available for chain transfer. IK has created a chain transfer to carry 4,000-pound loads. This is made using a 3/8” plate welded steel frame that allows for 2-1/2” diameter rollers with 4-1/2” centers. This transfer features a chain take-up design which can be adjusted without the need for conveyor disassembly.
Both the EMS Lift & Carry or the EMS Continuous Chain Cross Transfers have a lifting capability of 5' ton per section and can be constructed up to 60' long. They can be used to transfer in and out of a conveyor or through the datum line. These units are customizable to meet your specifications and shop size.
The triplex chain conveyor, and the pop up tables with roller beds, were created from our standards.
7. System: Integrate tracking instruments to quickly identify products and materials at each stage of the system.
Our cross transfer conveyors are widely used in many industries, such as chemical and paint, as well the automotive industry. Is your job requiring such a conveying device? Contact our representatives to discuss all of your concerns. We will be happy to assist with any request regarding conveying.
Crosschain systems are strong and adaptable to many industrial processes. They are ideal for vehicle-assembly lines, such as Bodyshops, Paintshops and Vehicle-Assembly Lines.
Industrial material handling equipment encompasses a diverse range of tools, vehicles, storage units, appliances and accessories involved in transporting, storing, controlling, enumerating and protecting products at any stage of manufacturing, distribution consumption or disposal.
Pop up roller transfers or chain transfer are available. Deciding on which transfer to incorporate into the system largely depends on the overall system design and arrangement. One advantage to the pop-up roller transfer is that loads can be conveyed with continuous chain support across a roller conveyor chainbox.
Pair your automated storage systems with our warehouse management solutions to boost productivity, accuracy and efficiency.
As a pop up chain transfer conveyor manufacturer, IKI designs roller and chain transfers that are used in pallet conveyor systems to sort or merge lines or change the direction of travel by 90 degrees. We offer a variety of options to meet conveyability requirements, weight, and system throughput.
Bulk material handling refers to the storing, transportation and control of materials in loose bulk form. These materials can include food, liquid, or minerals, among others. Generally, these pieces of equipment deal with the items in loose form, such as conveyor belts or elevators designed to move large quantities of material, or in packaged form, through the use of drums and hoppers.
Material handling systems and processes in a company are designed to improve customer service, reduce inventory and delivery times, as well as lower handling costs for manufacturing, distribution, or transportation.
Material handling process has four dimensions that impact efficient product flow through your warehouse: Movement, Time, Quantity, Space

Because this is an important decision point, conveyors are classified as either floor style or overhead style. Overhead styles come in a variety of shapes and sizes (see this graphic here on the different types).
