You will enter the water before the dolphins arrive. In this manner, the dolphins will get curious and instead of swimming away, they’ll be drawn towards us. The dolphins can be finicky and the more we "pretend" they are not there, the more curious they become.
For a more intimate dolphin experience, with a smaller group, our dolphin Boat Tours last for 2 hours. You will have the chance to swim with dolphins and explore Shell Island. Take your own tour. Our captains are knowledgeable and experienced in finding the best spots for Dolphins to be seen.
Our guides have spent years studying the natural behavior of dolphins. We are experts at finding them, and then safely instruct our guests how they can enter the water to observe them. Additionally, your captain will go snorkeling with you to show starfish, pufferfishes welch conchs and other types sea creatures.
You can also see dolphins on our island and dolphin tours. You can visit the beach and hunt for shells. If conditions permit, you can also swim in the protected waters.

Book a private tour with your group. Private charters allow you to extend your private dolphin tour by adding additional time (starting at 2 to 3 hours). This allows you to add more snorkeling locations, island time, and so on. Thirteen passengers can be accommodated on a boat. The captain will show you how to get into the water and observe the dolphins in their natural habitat. Next, take a guided snorkel trip to see other marine life around Shell Island.
If we swim parallel to dolphins instead of swimming towards them or reaching out to them (which is also illegal), then this will be the best, most ethical way to allow dolphins to come to our aid.

There are many species we see, including starfish, sanddollars bay scallops, whelks conchs upto 21" long, seahorses urchins and hermit crabs. These animals can be brought up to the surface, handled gently, and photographed. We bring large containers so that snorkelers, as well as non-snorkelers, can get close to the animals before they're released into the bay. The shells of non-living creatures can be taken home.
