Each production family that is impacted by changing the model quantities in a current production schedule can be further investigated using the MRP Area Production Family Models session.

To analyze the impact of a model quantity change on an individual production family:

  1. Click Capacity on the top navigation menu.
  2. Set up and run a test scenario using a model delta.
  3. Filter for a particular production family to investigate.
  4. Click the magnifying glass to access the details of an individual production family.

  1. Click View Details.

Using the MRP Area Production Family Models session that appears, the following investigation can occur.

  1. Production Family Capacity - Current Model Demand in Date Range Specified
  2. Production Family Capacity - Adjusted Model Demand in Date Range Specified
  3. Percent Capacity for Current Demand
  4. Percent Capacity using Adjusted Demand
  5. The original production family calculated results for current demand without model increase or decrease as reflected on dashboard.
  6. Summary of the model/ models increased or decreased in the test scenario.
  7. The bill of material original quantity scheduled in the date range selected and the adjusted bill of material quantity used in the test scenario.

Notice in the above scenario, the user wanted to decrease model # 4669313 by 500.   However, in the time frame that was selected there was only 344 units in the schedule.   Thus the system overrode the user entry by decreasing model #4669313 by only 344.
