How to Measure Parts and Packaging

Steps to measure a part or package:

  1. Identify the top and bottom. The distance from the outside bottom to the outside top is the height.
  2. Identify the longest side.   This is the length.
  3. Identify the shortest side.  This is the width.
  4. Record the length, width and height.
