Tools used by suppliers can be imported into the system from a master tool asset file.  Once the tool has been identified as being located at a particular supplier, the supplier is then required to define which tool is being used by which production family.

To link tools to a production family:

1. Access the appropriate production family where the tool is being used using the Capacity menu from the top navigation menu. 
2. Click the magnifying glass to access the details of the production family.
3. Click Link Existing Tools.   Note: Only tools that have already been imported into the system are available to link to the production family.

  

4. Using the Tool Tracking session displayed, select the appropriate tool or tools being used by the production family.
5. Click Link Select Tools to Production Family.
