Maintain MRP Area Models is a process of defining what models will be produced using which MRP area.   This session is used to release FMRP plant BOM planning tables to FMRP EGBOM production tables.   The MRP Area Model session is the original session that was created to perform this function in a one plant multiple MRP area environment. 

In more detail, the MRP Area Models session:

• Utilizes the Bill of Material Table (not plant specific).
• Defines which models are produced in a MRP Area. 
• Removes models from an MRP area.
• Finds models with BOM changes.
• Releases models with BOM changes.
• Releases BOM to EGBOM – updates BOM adopt dates per selected model.
