The process of releasing models creates records in the EGBOM table that will define the specific parts that are needed to build a specific model in its assigned, production MRP area.

To release all models:

1. Access the MRP Area Model session.
2. Select the Plant.
3. Select the MRP Area.
4. Using the Item Group to Release BOM drop down menu, select the default Item Group for these models. 

• If there are items in the BOM that have not been released to the item master, they will be added using this item group. See Defining an Item Group.

5. Click Release All Models with Changes.

After the initial creation of the EGBOM table using the above outlined procedure,  you may choose to release only those models where changes have occurred within the imported bill of material.  See Find Models with Changes.
