Item Groups
The item group is used to:
Classify an item with up to 5 levels of classification.
Provide a broader search capability to filter similar items.
Provide a means to authorize users to see only certain items.
Item groups must be authorized for each user group.
To create an item group:
Using the
Advanced
menu, click
Item Planning > Item Groups.
Click
Add
.
Enter the
item group code
.
Enter the
descriptive classifications
in Item Group 1, Item Group 2, etc.
Click
Create
.
This will generate a system description of:
Item Group 1
/
Item Group 2
/
Item Group 3
...
