Setting up a New User from a User Request

As an administrator you will be receiving requests for access to the FMRP Supply Chain Workbench. 


Let's guide you through the process of setting up a new user.


Setting up a new user requires following these steps:


  1. View the user request.
  2. Verify that the request came from an approved user.
  3. If the person requesting access is not a company employee, verify that the new user comes from an approved trading partner.   
  4. Create User ID and temporary password.
  5. Grant the user permission as to what parts of the system can be accessed, what data the user will be allowed to see, and what functions can be performed on that data (i.e. view only, create, modify or delete).  Granting permission to a user can be done on an individual basis or by adding the user to a group where the permissions have already been defined.  See Setting Up a User Group.
