Data access for a user occurs several ways:

1. Initially when a user ID is created, the user ID will be automatically granted data access to the trading partner (company) that they belong to.
2. If the user ID is linked to a group, the user ID will be granted data permission as defined for that user group. See Data Access for a User ID.
3. If required, the user ID can have additional data access granted from the user list.   See Data Access to Multiple Trading Partners.
