Defining Checkpoints

checkpoint defines the progress of a production order or work-in-process (WIP). Checkpoints define the life of an order on the line, providing status, and associating tasks that must be performed at certain points along the line. Checkpoint 1000 typically signifies the start of the line. Checkpoint 6000 typically signifies the end of the line and Slot 1.


Basic Checkpoints: 



To set up checkpoints: 


  1. Using the Advanced menu, click Order Scheduling > Checkpoints.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Select the MRP Area.
  4. Select the Production Line.
  5. Enter the Checkpoint Number.
  6. Enter the Checkpoint Description.
  7. Select Linefeed Number.
  8. Click Create.


To update a checkpoint:


  1. Select the Checkpoint.
  2. Update the checkpoint details.
  3. Click Update.


To delete a checkpoint: 


  1. Select the Checkpoint.
  2. Click Delete.
