The phrase Take Beautiful Risks comes from the work of Ronald Beghetto. I had the privaledge of attending Confratute at the University of Connecticut where he was a speaker. I enjoyed the classes and these word stuck with me. Here is a link to his article, Encourage and Take Beautiful Risks.

The idea for a Classroom in Action page came to me as I was viewing the discussion between Jeremy Rinder and Taylor Bradley. Jeremy was describing some class projects and I thought-he hould share this---I should share this! Thanks for the spark!

Research Interests and Professional Associations

Research Interests: I am interested in how gifted and talented students use coding and game design. I am curious if these experiences will help them build the 21st Century skill that are increasingly important in teaching and learning. My students have been working with both Scratch and Alice. Each of these sites offers great opportunities for students to work with coding.
