INWARD SUFFERING:
The Dark Night of the Soul

Facebook Seminar for sensitive persons attuned with Existentialism

This discussion will explore the dark night of the soul.
Our spiritual malaise can be described as existential loneliness, anxiety,
guilt, depression, meaninglessness, emptiness, insecurity, & despair.
Each of these forms of inward, existential suffering
must be carefully separated from its more familiar psychological twin:
interpersonal loneliness, moral conscience,
psychological depression, practical insecurity, etc.

We will read and discuss the 8 chapters of
Inward Suffering: The Dark Night of the Soul.

Both the book and this seminar are completely free of charge.

We will use a Facebook Page called Existential Spirituality.
This Facebook Page had 55 'likes' in April 2015,
when this course description was first written.
Once about 100 more people 'like' this Page,
we should have enough self-selected interested persons
to have meaningful discussions.

Each week a new chapter will be posted.
Everyone will be invited to read that chapter (3 or 4 pages)
and to post their comments and questions
directly under that chapter.

Members of the seminar will respond to each other's comments.
The author of Inward Suffering will also participate in these discussions.
And he might decide to change something in the book
if revisions would make the concepts easier to understand.

People who join our book-club after we have begun
will be able to catch up with the rest of us
by reading any chapter already posted
and responding in the place provided under each chapter.

please invite them to consider this seminar also.

And anyone who does not want to wait for our discussions to begin
can always read any chapters right away.
