Ok, into Austria, by way of Italy!

inner Italian/Austrian at the border

So now the signs are in German

The local fire station en route was
having quite the party, with brats
and beer ... at 9:00 AM?
|

Our lunch stop, the Almwirtschaft Hut,
in Dobratsch Nature Park
|

Loosely translated ... "old wine and
young women are the best way to waste
time", and "in heaven there is no beer,
so we drink it here"
|

Ooh, spätzle! Not so much cheese
this time (good)

Our hotel at Velden am Wörthersee,
the spectacular Falkensteiner
Schlosshotel - our room was on
the right side of the middle turret
in the photo, top floor
|

Next morning, our bike circumnavigation
of the Wörthersee started with a ferry
ride over to Pörtschach on the northern
shore

We actually stopped in the
village of Maria Wörth before
continuing on back to Velden -
here Robert on the optional
extension back

John and Joanne took the boat ride
back - their "end of tour" photo at
the hotel
|

We arrived a bit later, pretty happy
overall!

We learned how to properly
drink Jaegermeister! Put the

bottle down your throat!

See?!

Argggh!
