Managing a Grid DS-Client
You can view the status of a Grid DS-Client configuration and perform several management tasks, including stopping a node or exporting the IP address of the nodes in the Grid DS-Client configuration.
To manage a Grid DS-Client:
1. On the Grid menu, click Grid Status.
2. To view a visual representation of the Grid DS-Client configuration, click the Graph tab. To change the format, in the Graph Layout box, select Linear or Star.
3. To view a detailed list of all the nodes in the Grid DS-Click configuration, click the List tab.
4. To stop a node, do the following:
a) Select the List tab.
b) Select the node that you want to stop, and then click Stop Node.
c) Under Stop the selected DS-Client service, select one of the following options:
• Wait for all running activities to complete – Stops the DS-Client on the selected node after all the current activities have completed. No new activities will be allowed.
• Stop when all activities complete or force stop after [...] minute(s) – Stops the DS-Client on the selected node after all the current activities have completed or forces a stop after the specified time has elapsed. No new activities will be allowed.
d) Under Stop Type, specify whether you want to shut down the computer, reboot the computer, or stop DS-Client service only.
e) Click OK.
5. To export the Grid DS-Client IP address (internal or external) to a text file, do the following:
a) Click Export.
b) Beside Address Type, select one of the following options:
• Internal Address – Exports the internal (LAN) IP addresses to a text file that can be used to configure DS-Users with a Grid DS-Client.
• External Address – Exports the external (WAN) IP addresses. to a text file that can be used to configure external DS-Users with a Grid DS-Client.
c) Click OK.
d) Select the destination format and location, and then click Save.
6. In the Refresh Every box, enter the refresh interval for the data. To refresh the information immediately, click Refresh.
7. Click Close.
