Understanding Diabetes: A Path To Knowledge
No matter where you are in your fight against diabetes, here’s how to get the most out of it.

Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes typically develops in the first few years of life. The illness can happen to anyone at any age and from any ethnic background, but it is most common in people with a family history of type 2 diabetes or higher rates of obesity. There is no shame in having this illness and you have a community who will support you.

Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes and means that your body cannot process insulin. For some people, controlling blood sugar levels with healthy eating and exercise is sufficient, for others medication or insulin might be needed to help manage it. No matter what choice you make you have options-we are here with tools, resources and support you need.

Gestational Diabetes
Gestational diabetes is frightening, but it can be managed. There are a lot of misconceptions around pregnancy and diabetes and it’s important to know the facts so you don’t go into unnecessary worry.
