HotWired, the online extension of Wired magazine, has always been recognized as being innovative. But one of their most impressive features is also one of the least visible.

I have to admit that I'm a big fan of HotWired, I visit everyday, but it was only recently that I tried the Threads area. This is where HotWired really comes alive. Here you can respond to the author and discuss with fellow readers the issues raised. This is where the true interactivity comes to life!

A forum where everyone can discuss the issues that matter. The most interesting discussions I've seen so far are concerning Netizen, the political commentary of HotWired. But that's probably because people get rather heated about politics.

There is one problem. Are these posts censored? Are they checked? If so, then the open discussion and intelligent forum of debate on equal terms is lost. The Net can be a great leveller, bringing equality to all its users. So lets hope opportunities for mind-blowing interactivity aren't wasted...
