St. Andrews State Park Campground Camp Store can rent beach bikes. You can also ride on the 2-mile-long paved bike trail that runs through the park. It's an excellent way to see deer as well as other park wildlife. There are also two short and easy hiking trails through the Park, which allow you to see coastal scrub habitats and native pine forests.
As if you were heading to Captain Anderson's, turn onto North Lagoon. Continue on North Lagoon past their parking lot and past the Lighthouse Marina. You will find us on your right side, underneath the trees/down the gravel road. Our company name will be displayed on signs.
There is no limit to the activities you can experience at or on Shell Island! You can swim, snorkel, paddleboard, go kayaking, sunbathe, hunt seashells, go hiking, have a picnic, and more!
Agree with above, go around 11 a.m., to get the best of daytime sun, because April has some fairly cool days. over a year ago. I'd plan for late morning/early afternoon. There's no shade so if it is really warm you don't want to be there at the absolute hottest part of the day.
