It’s almost time, folks! Welcome in
the ski season early with ice and snow
festivals. Here’s our top three…
FRIDGE
After taking a break last year, one of Europe’s biggest
winter festivals is back with two outings: Budapest
(21-24 November) and Vienna (22-23 November). Watch
top athletes perform on the 10m ski and snowboard
ramp, then party down to international DJs and live acts.

FREEZE FESTIVAL
Get your first taste of the season at Clapham Common’s
own mountainside ski resort from 27 November until
1 December. Alongside ski and snowboard talks, movie
showings and all the latest kit, there’s alpine grub and
five après-ski venues. A great warm up for the real thing.

SNOW AND ICE FESTIVAL
Take 300 tonnes of ice, add another 200 tonnes of snow,
throw in the talents of 30 professional ice artists from
12 countries and you get Bruges’ spectacular annual
ice-sculpting festival (22 November to 5 January). This
year, it’s themed on Disney’s latest animation,
Frozen
.
