Once the home of London’s finest
newspapers, Fleet Street now welcomes
the city’s newest luxury hotel. The
four-star Apex Temple Court Hotel has
spacious communal areas, an interior
courtyard, and bright rooms and suites
– some with balcony views over the
city’s east end. Comfort is key here: all
184 rooms have king-size beds and Bose
sound docks. On a site of historic value,
which housed the crusading Knights
Templar in the 12th century, the hotel
is also close to the river Thames and
St Paul’s Cathedral.

BRUSSELS
The Thon Hotel EU is a fitting new
addition to the array of places to stay
in the nerve centre of the European
Union. Since it opened at the beginning
of April, hundreds of diplomats have
come through its doors to enjoy one
