•Pack smart.
Put valuables andmedications in
your carry-on luggage rather than in checked
baggage. American allows passengers to carry
on one bag that fits in the overhead compart-
ment orunder theseat in front of you, aswell as
onepersonal item. If youdoplan to checkbags,
make sure the identification tags on your lug-
gageareupdated.Also, placeyourcontact infor-
mationandacopyof your itineraryon the inside
of each suitcase. If your bag is delayed ormis-
directedand theoutside luggage tag ismissing,
thiswill helpus return it to youmorequickly.
• Remember “3-1-1.”
The Transportation Se-
curity Administration (TSA) limits the amount
of liquids, gels, and aerosols youmay carry on-
board. Each customer traveling domestically is
limited to items that are each three ounces or
less, allofwhichmustfit intoonequart-sizezip-
topbag.Formore informationand limitationson
international travel, visitwww.aa.com.
• Purchase a Child Aviation Restraint System.
If you’re traveling with a small child, consider
purchasing a lightweight child-restraint system
rather than luggingabulkycarseat around. The
system weighs less than one pound, is easily
transportable through airport security and onto
international flights. Check the Travel Informa-
tion section of AA.com for cities where earlier
check-in is recommended.
•TryCurbsideCheck-in.
Save timeby checking
your bag with a skycap at the curb. It’s just $2
per bagatmost airports, and then it’sa straight
shot to the security lineand your gate.
• Use Self-Service Check-in Machines.
Self-
Service Machines are a great time-saver. The
machines can also be used to check in for in-
ternational travel at many airports. Visit www
.aa.com/selfservice for details.
• Visit an Admirals Club lounge.

Also, American has bottled water available for
sale onboard the aircraft. American offers com-
