THE GRIFFON INDOOR SPORTS COMPLEX HISTORY STAFF RECORDS REVIEW OPPONENTS COACHES PLAYERS INTRO Page 10 THIS IS GRIFFON FOOTBALL The Griffon Indoor Sports Complex, dedicated in July 2010, is the headquarters of the Griffon Football Team. Featuring a full 100-yard turf indoor field, NFL quality locker room and training room, the Herzog Strength Training Center, the KCP&L Theater and the St. Joseph News-Press meeting rooms and coaches offices, “The GISC” provides all of the resources to build championship student-athletes in one convenient location. This wide view of the indoor field portion of the complex displays the spaciousness of the facility. The field itself is regulation size and is an exact replica of the Griffon game field. The field also includes markings for soccer and netting hanging from the ceiling to allow the Griffon softball, baseball and golf teams to conduct practices if needed. The facility is climate controlled for comfortable practice conditions 365 days a year.
