Wade Hampton HS 2012 FRESHMAN SEASON Played in eight games for the Pirates… had 16 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown… averaged 4.6 yards per carry and 9.3 rushing yards per game… scored his lone touchdown of the year in the season opener at Tennessee Tech… rushed for a season-high 45 yards on six carries at Howard on Nov. 3… caught two passes for 61 yards on the season… returned two kickoffs for 24 yards against Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 29. WADE HAMPTON HIGH SCHOOL Had 863 rushing yards as a freshman, earning All-Region honors… was named All-Region and All-State as a sophomore after rushing for 1,139 yards and having 540 receiving yards… was named Old Spice Player of the Year… rushed for 1,359 yards as a junior, earning All-County, All-Region, and All-State honors, while again being named Player of the Year… District Player of the Year as a senior… was a member of the state championship-winning basketball team as a junior. Norcom HS 2012 FRESHMAN SEASON Played in four games for the Pirates, making two starts… was part of a Pirates offensive line that helped the team average 148.1 rushing yards per game (fifth in the MEAC)… helped Jeremiah Schwartz become the first Pirate to rush for 1,000 yards in a season since 2009. I.C. NORCOM HIGH SCHOOL Was named First Team All-Eastern District as a junior, helping Norcom win the district title… was a First Team All-District and Second Team All-Region selection as a senior… helped Norcom go 22-6 in his last two seasons… was also on the basketball team, winning the state title in his junior season.
