B R O N C O S football coaching staff Taylor worked with numerous all-conference performers that led the Hampton defense, which ranked amongst the best in the country. With the Pirates defensive unit leading Division I-AA (FCS) in turnovers forced in 2004, Hampton was able to capture its third MEAC championship. In 2005, his fi rst season overseeing the running backs, he aided Alonzo Coleman and Ardell Daniels in becoming just the third duo in Division I FCS history to rush for 1,000 yards each in consecutive seasons. The past two seasons at FAMU, he tutored two of the top runners in the MEAC - quarterback Curtis Pulley and running back Philip Sylvester. Taylor, who was born in Charleston, IL, is the oldest son of Head Coach Joe Taylor. He is a graduate of Phoebus (VA) High School where he was a four-year letterman in football. He earned his bachelor's degree in History/Political Science from Virginia State University and was also a member of the Trojans' football team. His outstanding senior campaign as an offensive guard garnered him All-Cent Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) honors. Defensive Line Strength & Conditioning 1st Year • Alabama ™ A&M, 2003 Antonio Wallace Antonio Wallace is beginning his fi rst season as the Defensive Line Coach and Director of Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Fayetteville State football program. Throughout his career Wallace has enjoyed the tremendous task of developing student-athletes to perform at a high-level whether coaching on the football fi eld or inside of the weight room. He has developed year-round athletic training programs that have promoted speed-strength, explosive-power, agility, fl exibility and muscle endurance. Most recently he served under Hall of Fame Head Coach Joseph Taylor at Florida A&M, where he served in the capacity of Director of Speed-Strength and Conditioning for football helping restore its winning form. After a heartbreaking 3-9 season, Wallace was instrumental in the Rattlers Football Program turn-around season helping them to a 9-3 record in just their fi rst season. He continued developing many student-athletes to reach both individual and team goals; many of which have and are pursuing professional careers. Before serving on staff at FAMU, Wallace worked on staff at Alcorn State under the direction of Dr. Johnny "Rip Saw" Thomas in the capacity of Defensive Ends Coach/Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. He began as a Graduate Assistant and was hired on a full-time basis coaching the defensive line following the program's best record under Dr. Thomas. He has had the opportunity to aid in the development of over 100 All-American and Black College All-Americans, Conference Newcomer of the Year and Freshman of the Year. Wallace is a graduate of Alabama A&M University where got his start as a Student Assistant Strength/Conditioning, Agility Coach assisting with Women's Volleyball, Basketball and Soccer. He later went on onto become an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the football program. As a member of the football program, Wallace was a three year letterman and selected team captain by his teammates; while helping lead the Bulldogs to two Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Titles and SWAC Championship berth. While in high school at William R. Boone in Orlando, FL, he earned letters in football, basketball and weightlifting. Wallace is currently a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) where he is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certifi ed (SCCC). He is also a current member of the National Association of Speed and Explosion (NASE) where he is certifi ed as a Specialist in Speed and Explosion; and a member of the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) where he is certifi ed as a Specialist in Sports Conditioning (SSC). Wallace is married to the former LaKeesha M. Wells of Talladega, AL. They are the proud parents of their four sons: Ethan, Joshua, Joseph and Chandler.
