The ACAM Network is fiercely committed to assisting clients to achieve independence and resiliency as they fight hunger, homelessness, and hopelessness. Neighborhood-based help ministries can be the difference between a hungry stomach and a stocked pantry, or between eviction and stable housing for families who are struggling or living in poverty.


In order to address the root causes of poverty in Houston's communities, a comprehensive strategy based on locally developed trust must be used. ACAM supports partner organizations in pursuing community transformation as they undergo their own transformation while respecting the special relationship each of them has with the communities they serve.


As a result, ACAM's ministry partners devote a lot of time and effort to strengthening the network and giving more families the resources they need to succeed as well as to creating capacity for their own organizations.
